Woodpeckers – Year 1
Year 1 and Year 2 took part in a session led by Caroline Johnson from Whittlesey Baptist Church to support the children's learning about Christianity.
Welcome to the Woodpecker Class!
Hello and welcome to the Woodpecker class page. My name is Mr Bradshaw and I cannot wait to teach year 2 this year. This is my 8th year of teaching. I am the PE and Computing leader for the school.
I am particularly interested in sport and travelling. I love to visit new places. I like to spend my spare time reading all different genres of books; I like to cook; spend time with my friends and family and watch sport.

Useful information
Weekly homework challenges include: spellings, reading, Bug Club and work set on Google Classroom.
Children are expected to read at home regularly and bring their reading book to school on their timetabled day.
If your child is having a school dinner then please share the different options available with them so that they know whether they are having the meat, vegetarian or pick and mix option.
During the Summer term the children will complete their phonics screening check. This is a National test which all children in Year 1 are required to complete. We will be working towards this throughout the year.
