At Coates we believe in celebrating the successes of all pupils.  Each week all parents are invited to the Friday celebration assembly.  Pupils across the school will be awarded a range of awards which they have worked hard to achieve.

These include:

Good work - one pupil from each class is chosen by the class teacher

Merits - when the pupils earn their multiple of ten for one hundred

Headteachers award

Golden Heart - awarded for kindness and showing a real golden heart

Pen licences

External awards - awards from external clubs e.g. swimming, football

Reading Key Stage award - pupils have the change to win the cup for the week for reading at least 5 times a week
