Useful information
Weekly homework challenges include: spellings, reading, Bug Club and work set on Google Classroom.
Children are expected to read at home 5 times a week and bring their reading book to school every day. Reading books will be changed every Tuesday.
Our P.E. days are on Monday and Friday so please can children come to school in their P.E. kits.
If your child is having a school dinner then please share the different options available with them so that they know whether they are having the meat, vegetarian or pick and mix option.
During the Summer term the children will complete their phonics screening check. This is a National test which all children in Year 1 are required to complete. We will be working towards this throughout the year. More information to follow.
We have a brilliant year ahead and we are really looking forward to working with the children and supporting them in their learning. If you have any questions then please let us know.
Many thanks,
Mrs Saberton-Kitch and Mrs Cole
